There’s so much information that gets passed on to our clients during the early stages of working together. For sellers, there’s a lot of preparation that goes into helping them get their home on the market. Consulting on what repairs and upgrades to do, pricing strategy, staging and marketing, transitioning to the next home, etc. We know it can get overwhelming, so we’ve started to break the information down into different stages, like “so you’re just starting to think about selling,” and “to do before you list your home.” When we walk through a house with our clients, one of the key things we mention to them is to focus on the 3 D’s:  Declutter; De-personalize; Detach. Making the home welcoming for its new occupants should be the goal of all home sellers.
