The Wall Street Journal recently published an article about the strong real estate market here and how much we have in common with other expensive west coast cities like SF and LA. There are a few things to correct in the article, such as median price in Seattle (it’s in the $600s for a single family home. $400ish is for the median for the entire region, which generally covers King/Snoho/Pierce counties). Homes in the core areas are generally selling in a week or less, and it usually takes that long only because the sellers have a 4-7 day offer review period.
