For those of you considering a remodel, this is one of the most interesting articles we’ve seen. It gives fantastic information on renovation costs, costs recovered at resale, and the most unique indicator — the joy score — what improvements gave owners the most joy… and no surprise, it was typically the big-ticket items that gave owners the greatest sense of joy. We’ve found that there are regional differences as to what updates are worth the most, so for our area, there could be some deviations from this list, but it’s still an interesting and helpful read.
