The Seattle Times published an article about the Mayor’s desire to regulate AirBnB rentals in the city. This is a hot topic, as the hundreds of online comments attest to. We have noticed an increasing amount of interest from investors and from homeowners with extra space to rent out (often just an extra room or a finished detached garage). We don’t know how far the Mayor and the city of Seattle will get with any proposed regulations, so this will be an interesting topic to stay updated on as it could affect your rights as an AirBnB host, the demographics of your condo building/neighborhood, the prices of investment property/homes with MIL or ADU, etc.
